Today is International Women's Day and a time to celebrate the women in your life who have inspired you and made the world a better place.  

Who is a female inspiration in your life? 

Mine is my Tutor from high school. I hope she realises the difference she has made to so many young people as she worked hard to reduce inequalities and introduced us to a world beyond our small town. Back in the early 90s, I remember raising money to sponsor a child's education overseas, she had adopted a child and she'd travelled. Her vision for a better world is very much mine too.

As my daughter bounces to school, she is very clearly in awe of her teacher and hangs off her every word.  Long may this continue.
