Sometimes clients are recruiting for a role where the search criteria cannot be defined in a straight-forward manner. This was certainly the case when leading company, Micronclean, were looking to recruit an Innovation Officer.
Micronclean prides itself on being a technological leader in its field of providing sterile clean room supplies and garment cleaning services to many
industries, including the NHS. The Innovation Officer is a key role because innovation is the life blood of the organisation.
The candidate would need to show great levels of positivity even when ideas failed to create a learning and innovation culture. They would need to be
extraverted enough to reach out to all levels of the organisation and able to influence senior stakeholders with strong commercial acumen. They would need to bring ideas to life from concept through to launch and explore new markets and ideas. These traits are not easily defined in a standard CV and LinkedIn search.
Amy Foster, Director of Nomad HR & Recruitment said, “A simple search would not work to find the right personality fit for this role and company, so we used our network and unique research methods to come up with a shortlist of potentials. Then I filtered these down to one perfect candidate who the client hired.”
Sarah Merton, HR Manager at Micronclean said “Thanks to Nomad we found the perfect hire who has fitted in seemlessly to the company understanding our industry and innovation challenges.”
